Some of you might be thinking...why would you need to practice drawing? Don't you already draw well enough?
To me? No. To others? Maybe. But there's always room for improvement. Right? Right!
I mean I draw out my comics and sometimes I enjoy looking at them and at times I don't. I feel like my style went from very detailed to blah. So, I dug out my giant pile of Newtype USA anime magazines (Its now called Otaku USA), to learn from the best...the artists that made it! I mean that made it into the business of the Japanese manga/anime world. So, now I'm back to the drawing board of studying and trying to intake other artists styles and merge them into my own. It takes me back to high school when the whole real reason behind of buying the magazines were all for that exact reason. I always bought them to have something to draw and keep practicing drawing in every way I could possible. Back then though I was too stubborn to use the method of drawing simple shapes as guidelines to draw out what I really wanted to draw and keeping everything in proportion. Now I'm realizing I need them (the shapes) the most so that my pictures don't look funky. [laughs]. Its all good in the end. Take care and talk you all soon!
